Bordered by Silverlake to the west and Chinatown to the east, Echo Park has become known for its thriving art scene, independent businesses, and cultural diversity. We’ve curated a list of our favorite spots in Echo Park that are easily accessible by scooter. Stop scrolling, and get out there.
GUISADOS
If you’re in search of the best taco in Los Angeles, Guisados is the place. As soon as the smell of chiles and meat simmering in a slow-cooked stew drifts in your direction, your mouth will start watering, trust.With the extensive menu options, it’s hard to choose what to start with, we know. But you can’t go wrong with the Taco Sampler: Steak Picado, Bistek Roja, Tinga, Mole, Chicharron, and Cochinita Pibil. And for the plant-based out there, the vegetarian menu is complete with a variety of flavors and options as well.
ECHO PARK LAKE
Cruise up Sunset Blvd and take a left onto Echo Park Ave until you see the iconic Echo Park Lake on your right. And BOOM—natural paradise. Stroll around the 1-mile path, stop to admire local artists’ work, or cruise across the water on a swan boat (#itsavibe).
Since the massive makeover in 2013, Echo Park Lake has been a popular destination for tourists and locals alike and a haven for wild geese and swans, lotus flower blossoms, and water lilies. We love a nice afternoon stroll and caffeine pit stop at the boathouse-turned-brunch-spot, Beacon.
MASA
If there’s one pizza place to go to in all of LA, it’s Masa. Authentic Chicago deep dish made with the best organic, locally-sourced ingredients. Perfect crust, golden and crisp. Hot gooey cheese, classic toppings, and beyond. They also make a bomb vegan pizza. So stop on by to feed your belly and your soul.
THE ECHOPLEX
The Echoplex is a must-see concert spot for anyone on the Eastside. It’s a great place to discover indie artists or dance your face off late into the night. Everyone from Nine Inch Nails to Kendrick Lamar to Steve Aoki have graced the stage. Book tickets ahead of time at theecho.com to snag a spot. Hot tip: only small bags (4.5” x 6.5”) or clear bags (max 12” x 6” x 12”) are allowed.

We ordered over ONE THOUSAND helium balloons and tied them to an Unagi scooter to make it fly. With magnesium alloy handlebars, carbon fiber body, and weighing in at 26.5 lbs, this scooter was built to soar.
