What the higher figures mean ...

A higher number of Ah (amp-hours) means a greater amount of energy stored, which gives longer mileage and range.

Tires

So how does Voyager perform as an alternative to Hiboy?

Performance

Speed and Acceleration

Unagi Voyager is fitted with 2 x 250w motors - one in each wheel hub. Which means its packing a punchy total of 500 watts of dual motor power. That's 43 per cent more power than the Hiboy S2. Like it's predecessor, the Model One, this gives this slinky, new scooter more reliable power to drive your daily commute, typically:

Beating out the 10 degree inclines in 19 secs achieved by Hiboy S2 with Voyager's average hill climb of 10 per cent in around 12 seconds at nearly 17.7 km/h (11 mph).

Battery Charge and Travel Distance

Unagi have improved upon the Model One by giving Voyager a stepped-up:

• 42V 3A charge output lithium-ion battery of 360Wh / 10 Ah - compared to 33.6V, 2A 259Wh / 9Ah (Model One). And more powerful than the Hiboy S2 36V 7.5Ah | 270Wh battery.

Without adding to scooter weight the larger battery gives Voyager:

• 12 to 25 mile range on a single charge - further than Hiboy S2 and its 30 km (18.6 miles) max. range.
• 3 hours charging time - half the 6 hours for Hiboy S2.

Tires and shock absorption

Like Model One, Unagi have fitted Voyager with:

Honeycomb tires
