Best Skywalker 10s alternatives
"A mid-range scooter giving more range, when you need it"
How hard can it be to find a budget commuter scooter? Cool for riding the neighborhood sidewalk, concrete and tarmac. Even awesome for some of those out of town, urban terrains.
Could this be the best electric scooter for your hard-earned dollars?
The Kaabo Skywalker 10s is definitely seen as an on-road/off-road hybrid. A great scooter, with a great build and decent motor pumping a zippy 51.5 km/h (32 mph). A mid-range scooter giving more range, longer-distance rides when you need them.
A jump up from the earlier 8s version - no luke-warm Skywalker, is the 10s.
Let's see if this or another electric scooter is the right force to be with you...
Kaabo Skywalker 10s
The 10s is one of the newest electric scooters from the Kaabo range of Skywalker electric scooters.
It was in 2013, the Kaabo brand started rolling out scooters in China - the heart of the electric scooter industry. Now they're scootering in more than 30 countries, worldwide, including the US, UK and Europe.
It has to be said this electric scooter may not be the most powerful beast to roam the urban jungle. But you're sure to get stoked on its speed, build quality, and comfortable ride when roaming longer distances.
So, the Kaabo Skywalker 10s is definitely up there to be one of the best electric scooters for those with a big urban commute.
Performance
Speed and Acceleration
The Kaabo Skywalker 10s is loaded with 1200W 48V/13 Ah of single brushless, rear motor power. Making this scooter an impressive mover, for hitting top speeds of:
- 51.5 km/h (32 mph) in around 20 secs - definitely a high performance matching some of the best electric scooters out there.
So, just how fast off the curb is the Kaabo Skywalker 10?
If you weigh around 76 kgs (163 lbs), then you could easily be revving up:
- 24 km/h (15 mph) - in under 4 secs
- 32 km/h (20 mph( - in under 6 secs
- 40 km/h (25 mph) - in around 9 secs
- 48 km/h (30 mph) - in around 16 secs
It's rare for mid-range, budget scooters to shift so quick. So could be a contender for best electric scooter of its type and price for speed.
Hill Climbs
The Kaabo Skywalker 10s is no slouch either when tackling those 10 per cent inclines. Taking a little over 11 seconds at around 19 km/h (12 mph).
Not groundbreaking, for sure, but a solid, steady performance on a daily commute.
Components
Battery Life and Range
Battery life is always a big deal if you want range from your scooter. Over longer distances, the urban commuter is definitely getting more 'bang for buck' mileage out of the Skywalker 10s.
For a budget scooter, the Kaabo is packing a high-performance Lithium-ion battery pack of either 48V / 21Ah or 60V / 26Ah.
On a single charge alone, the 936 watt/hour battery life is good to go for 40 - 53 kms (20 - 33 miles), according to riding conditions and riders weight.
Replacing all that ride power means charging time can take between 6 to 9 hours, or 4 hours on a fast charge.
Tires and Suspension
The Skywalker certainly rocks a pumped-up tire, big time. Here we have dual 25.4 cm (10 in) x 6.6cm(2.5 in) pneumatic CST-branded* 'inner tube' tires.
*CST (Cheng Shin Tire) is the world's largest bicycle and scooter tire manufacturer, covering over 150 countries.
You would expect to find super large, chunky and resilient, wide wheels on an electric scooter putting in the extra mileage. Air-filled tires have a great surface grip in both dry and wet conditions.
Whether scootering on sidewalk or some rough terrain, the tyres on these wide wheels give the Kaabo Skywalker 10s safe and stable road adhesion. And a more comfortable ride you need for longer range commutes.
Braking
Just like other scooters in the speed department, the Skywalker 10s has gotten some serious braking to match. Here we have dual mechanical disc brakes with Zoom brand, electric moped calipers.
Looking closer reveals:
- Rear disc brake is fitted with a 150 mm (6 in) ventilated disc.
-and-
- Front brake with a 120 mm (4.75 in) disc.
So, perfectly balanced to give optimal ventilation and ample surface area for maximised, braking performance.
It has to be said that like other scooters without ABS, an emergency stop may sound like the brake calipers are a little bit noisy (creaking) but it's perfectly normal.
However, the Skywalker 10s offers a powerful and super-efficient braking combo for returning precise and smooth stops - 2.8m (9.1 ft) from 15mph (24 km/h).
Adjusting the brakes can shorten the braking distance even further.
Lights
Most electric scooters have a single, front LED headlight - mounted low on the stem - and a rear, red LED, at least. The best electric scooters often sport cool, LED side-lights running along the deck for extra visibility.
You won't be surprised to hear that a scooter called Skywalker 10s not only includes front and rear LED lights but also side-lights - rocking a light-saber vibe.
The force of illumination may be with you. But as with most electric scooters, and their low mounted headlights - you may need to strike back with a brighter headlight higher up the stem.
Handlebar Controls
The Skywalker 10s gives the urban commuter all the straightforward cockpit and handlebar controls they need.
- Both sides of the handlebars - brake lever.
- Left hand side only - very loud horn and light control button.
- Right hand side only - QS-S4 trigger throttle with a clear, bright LCD display of all essential data - battery charge, speed mode, riding speed and distance travelled.
The Skywalker 10s offers cockpit control you would expect as standard on a typical, mid-range electric scooter. Plus, adjusting handlebars to match a riders height.
What is different... is the subtle curve on the handlebars, finishing at each end with some neat-looking, ergonomically shaped, rubber handgrips.
Build quality and load capacity
This scooter, with its thick stem, curved handlebars and light-saber deck illumination is one of a small range of neat design, Kaboo scooters.
Frame
True to its name, the Skywalker 10s is constructed using 6061-T6 "aviation-grade" aluminum. Giving a build-quality similar to mild steel, which is applied where 'high strength to low weight" ratios are required. Plus, adding high corrosion resistance and finish.
It makes for a lightweight, durable and "no-wobble" sturdy ride - even at higher speeds.
Deck
The overall, sleek design every much extends to the all black, high-gloss finish of the Skywalker 10s deck.
Despite a maximum rider weight of 120 kg (264 lbs), this could be seen as a small deck - measuring only 44.5 cms (17.5 in) of usable length. Owing to an intrusive rear suspension design, which may limit standing space.
Its minimalist design highlights the side-deck's light-saber "effect", but which can be separately switched on and off.
Portability
The Skywalker 10s may be a mid-range, budget scooter but it's no lightweight. This Kaboo scooter weighs in at a cool 25 kgs (55 lbs). However, not every rider will see the Skywalker 10s as having ultra-portability for daily commutes.
The Skywalker 10s folding mechanism includes both its telescoping stem (via a single lever) and handlebars (via a sliding collar).
As a result, the Skywalker 10s easily folds down to a carry-size of 117 cm (46 in) (L) 23 cm (9 in) (W) x 33 cm (13 in) (H).

Apollo City 2022
"Is this the best electric scooter out there for the short, urban sprint?"
It's all about the "City".
It's an electric scooter for riders who want an "all-round package" for their daily, urban commute. Purpose-built for cityscape, rather than off-road terrain.
We're talking awesome speed, both sturdy, robust and lightweight enough for easy portability, riding comfort- and straightforward, cockpit features.
For the short, urban sprint
Apollo say over 8 in 10 daily trips "are shorter than 10 kilometers." Whether heading to the office, shopping mall or local precinct.
They also state their mission is to "improve short-distance travel". Among their well-known range of Apollo scooters, the City is definitely a high-end performer on the urban stage. Could the new sleek-design 2022 be the best electric scooter out there for the short, urban sprint?
Let's check it out...
Performance
Speed and Acceleration
Apollo City 2022, which supercedes the previous City model, comes with a powerful single 48V 500W motor.
Itproduces a decent, comparable top speed of 43 km/h (27 mph). Beating out the previous City speed of 40 km/h (25 mph). Note, this Apollo may not be the best electric scooter for you if you love to open up the throttle, everywhich way.
Let's not forget this electric scooter is designed for withstanding the daily, urban short hauls. Delivering riders an all-round, value package rather than hyperbolic, speedster payloads.
For serving up a more smooth acceleration, the City also prefers to leave the starting blocks at a less hectic pace, from 0-24 km/h (15 mph) in o.4 secs.
Hill Climbs
So how does the City cope when faced with some uphill scootering?
With this size of single motor, City does a standard, electric scooter job. Easily handling 10 per inclines at just under 14 secs at around 15.8 km/h (9.8 mph).
It does seem to find some steeper gradients a struggle. However, the City coped just fine with the average inclines and hill climbs you would expect on a typical, urban commute.
Components
Battery Life and Range
Apollo City 2022 carries a 500 watt hour, 48V 13.5Ah Lithium-ion battery pack. It consumes around 1.2KW per 100km (62 miles) to produce a maximum range of 48 km (3o miles), depending on a riders weight, speed and surface conditions.
- Riding modes
Travel speed can eat up quite a bit of juice so choice of riding mode is critical.
Mode 1: 14.5 km/h (9 mph) max. speed.
Mode 2: 29 km/h (18 mph) max. speed.
Mode 3: 43.5 km/h (27 mph) max. speed.
The City 2022 version comes with 3a charger. This reduces charging time by a huge 50 per cent to only 4.5 hours compared to the 8 hours needed for the previous model.
Tires and Shock Absorbers/Suspension
Most comfortable scooters have a quality riding performance largely served up by its tires and shock absorbers.
Apollo City 2022 sports 25.6 cm (10 in) x 9cm (3.5 in) front and rear, air-filled, tubeless tires. And definitely a different experience from solid tires.
Pneumatic "air-filled" tires are all about riding, pumped up on a cushion of air. Rubber tread flexing and spreading deeper into the road surface for greater grip and shock absorption.
Triple Spring System
The City 2022 scooter also rides on a 'Triple Spring System' suspension of newly-positioned springs with swingarms.
One side of each is secured to the mainframe while the other side, attached to the wheels. The extra free movement pivots the swingarms vertically for dampening down uneven surfaces.
Braking
The City Apollo, along with many other premium electric scooters, features a 'triple' independent braking system. Designed for safety backup at every manouvre.
Here we have:
- Front wheel - fitted with a mechanical disc brake.
- Rear Wheel - fitted with a mechanical drum brake and a regenerative brake*.
*Regenerative braking - the force applied when de-accelerating is converted to usable energy, which is stored in the battery. Touch responsive hand-levers automatically activate the stored energy, braking system. The regenerative strength can also be set via LCD settings on the handlebar/cockpit display.
Lights
Design tweaks to the Apollo City 2022 are definitely illuminating!
Even the best electric scooter can have its front headlight positioned too low on the stem. Not the new City 2022 electric scooter.
Its LED headlight is flush-fitted high up on the stem - just below the handlebars. Throwing out a powerful beam ahead for those after-dark rides.
Flashing rear turn signals
A dual amber turn-signal, which flashes when the brakes are activated, is also perched up high on the rear fender, atop a large vertical red LED tail-light.
Massive kudos must go to Apollo for also wrapping a pair of large chevron-shaped amber turn signals to the rear of the scooter side-deck. Which also beep for 10 seconds when activated.
Handlebar Controls
Sheer, sleek, ergonomic and robust. Describe the Apollo City 2022 handlebars. Could it be the best scooter version to date for elegant control? There's nothing quite like great-looking handlebars to inspire confidence and trust in totally handling your ride.
Flush-mounted LED display
They're "smart" too. A cool LED display is seamlessly flush-mounted in the middle. You have instant readout and control over every aspect of scooter performance, from speed and riding mode to battery charge and rear turn signals.
Brake lights are controlled by hand levers, both left and right hand side. Plus, thumb throttle also to the right, and the electronic regenerative brake paddle to the left. All smoothly enveloped in a neat, tactile high grip rubber.
Cockpit control was never so fine to the touch - and reassuring.
Build quality and load capacity
Frame
The 2022 version of City Apollo is no cosmetic makeover of the previous model - as often happens with most scooters. This redesign has gotten itself a whole new scooter.
Here's why...
The basic build of other electric scooters is often found to be OEM (original equipment manufacturer). This means components are produced to be used by more than one company brand.
Elegant, custom-design
The first Apollo City was was an OEM-design found among other different brand scooters. Apollo City 2002 is a totally new, custom-design and build - sporting it's own unique finish.
The 6061 Aircraft-grade aluminum frame sports a sleek, elegant profile, dressed in a laidback, warm grey hue. Perfect for accenting details, such as shock absorbers - picked out in vibrant orange - and deck-mounted, amber turn-signals.
Deck
The Apollo City deck is also transformed.
The former, loud two-colour pattern blocks are replaced with a warm grey, calming surface of repeated curved lines in high-grip rubber.
Measuring 52cms (20in) x 19cms (7 in), the new City deck neatly tapers at the rear to a carry handle - for that extra foot room and control - and also includes a retractable kickstand.
Portability
The one-click folding stem and rear grab-handle makes the City 2022 super-easy to neatly fold in half. And to pack down to a carry size of 124cm (48ins) x 64cm (25ins) x 58 cm (23 ins).
Weighing in at 25.8 kgs (57lbs), the new City 2002 may not feel like the most portable scooter.
But a small folding hook at the top of the stem - connecting to a small latch at the rear of the deck when folded - makes this a secure and more portable electric scooter to lift when needed.

Unagi Model One (E500)
"Designed to make you feel good"
It may only take the launch of one portable electric scooter. To maybe, up the design game of just about every other portable scooter being made out there.
Unagi electric vehicle company was founded in Oakley, California, 2018. Its declared mission was to "liberate people from the tyranny of transportation frustrations".
We're talking the "costs and inconveniences" of the daily urban commute - or perhaps simply getting around the neighborhood.
Design Statement
The arrival of Unagi Model One was a design statement in itself. For anyone looking to subscribe to an electric scooter combining ride quality, performance, comfort and safety. And looking darn good too.
Unagi has quickly established itself as a brand that cares as deeply about aesthetics as all the other scooter must-haves, such as speed, range and portability.
Superior Apple-style ergonomics
The Model One concept has been likened to superior Apple-style ergonomics.
All fine-frame build and smooth, cockpit controls. One of the lightest scooters out there, the Model One is designed to make you feel good. As much as getting you quickly and safely to your destination.
The latest dual-motor E500 version does it even better.
Lets see why...
Performance
Motor Power and Speed
The first Unagi Model One comprised a single motor. Within months, the upgraded E500 was released, sporting a a 500 watt dual motor.
The E500 is designed to give a neat boost to a typical, urban commute, offering a maximum speed of 32 km/h (20 mph). As a 'commuter scooter', the Unagi is not aimed at speedster kicks.
Acceleration
The Unagi One E500 can reach 24 km/h (15 mph) in around 4 seconds. You can also get to 'customize your ride' for whatever 'maximum speed' you feel comfortable with - whatever your riding level.
Model One E500 top speed settings
- 14 km/h (9 mph): Great entry-level setting for riders new to the electric scooter. All light acceleration for building confidence and trigger finger control.
- 19 km/h (12 mph): Probably, the ideal top speed for a typical urban, daily commute. Or if you are only a casual rider. From kickstart to curb stop - gives a a "balanced" throttle for steady-paced cruising of precinct sidewalk and road surface.
- 27 km/h (17 mph): It may not be as 'fast and furious' as some would like it, but the E500 proves it not only looks built-for-pure-pleasure, it definitely can be the one for those fun rides.
Hill Climbs
Unagi Model One is not just a cool looker, when needed, it can do the hard work too. Tackling typical inclines of 10 per cent in a little over 12 seconds at around 17 km/ h (11 mph).
Its newly-fitted dual motors will also make light work of hill climbs up of to 15 degrees.
Components
Battery Charge and Travel Distance
The Model One is perfectly equipped for urban commuters looking to subscribe to daily, shorter distance scootering.
Its 282 Wh battery is loaded with HG2 18650 lithium-ion cells made by global tech giant, LG. From a single battery charging time of around 5 hours, the Unago Model One can produce
- 16 kms (10 miles) average travel distance.
In most travelling conditions, the on-board monitor display helps prevent overheating. Maintaining a reliable, longer lasting, and low maintenance scootering experience.
Tires and shock absorption
If you think the best electric scooter will always boast air-filled, inner-tube tires, there are some cool standouts from the crowd.
This is because inner tube tyres can sometimes suffer from unexpected flats. No one needs the nightmare of swapping out a fiddly inner tube on a hectic commute. And the Model One is designed as the all-round package for hassle-free, daily commutes.
Unagi have instead given the Model One:
- 7.5 inch puncture-proof, solid rubber, airless tires - on both front wheel and rear.
In the absence of suspension, smart-design air pockets are also built-in around the rim of each tire. This ensures a "gliding on air" experience, but reassuringly backed by firm, solid-tyre support.
Brakes
Everyday commuter use demands brakes more than equal to ensuring reliable stops. Unagi have not only have fitted dual electronic brakes. They have also addeda rear fender foot brake.
This gives a solid, responsive assist to full stops. Particularly, when making a full stop on a typical, flat urban route.
The electronic braking system also prevents tyre locking and delivers a safe, stable response.
A typical Model One full-stop takes:
- 5.5 m (16.9 feet) - both electronic and foot brake.
- 7.7 m (25 feet) - only the electronic brakes.
Lights
Safe electric scooter riding also depends on visibility, especially, after dark. Some electric scooters may only have a single headlight. It's often found to simply not provide enough illumination of the road. It's not an issue with this scooter.
Unagi have fitted the Model One with:
- Dual forward-facing, flush-mounted 1.8 watt LED headlights.
A red LED light, positioned low on the scooter rear also throws out a powerful beam for safe night riding.
Handlebar control
Refinement extends to the cockpit control too. The iphone-style look and large display is flush-mounted at the centre of the handlebars. At a glance you can easily see and control your speed, motor status, distance travelled, battery charge, and riding mode.
Not only looking good but feeling good to touch, too. This scooter's design is always about rider comfort and practical efficiency at your fingertips.
The Unagi handlebars and top bar control centre are formed from a single casting of magnesium alloy, which is one third lighter than aluminum, and seamlessly joined.
Smart and elegantly tapered, elliptical silicon grips are securely fused as one to the handlebars. A perfectly-positioned thumb throttle sits below an instantly-switchable speed and distance control button.
Completing the ergonomic chic are touch response brake paddles, horn and LED headlight.
Build quality
Build quality in any electric scooter has to be a critical safety factor. Unagi offers subscribers to their Model One a build quality more than standard in all areas. It simply rocks quality-control precision throughout - from design and manufacture to final finish.
Unagi have engineered the Model One to a high-spec, strength-weight ratio.
Scooter riders will be totally impressed with the subtle, smooth mix of carbon fiber, aluminum and magnesium alloy. Moulded into into a safe, durable - and one hell of an awesome- looking and comfortable, riding machine.
Frame
Unagi's Model One frame is made by TORAY - for over 5 decades a world leading producer of carbon fiber. It's a material recognized for both its lightweight property and virtually, unbreakable strength.
Unagi have also used carbon fiber to subtly lend reinforced frame support at potential stress points.
Ride Deck
A sleek, luxury length deck of 47 cms (18.5 in) but also a slimline 13.5 cms (5.5 in) wide is much larger than the typical scooter deck.
A tough, silicon rubber-grip, embedded on sturdy one-piece, machined aluminum - is also elegantly tapered for riding comfort.
Plus, there's an in-built kickstand on the left-hand side, which neatly vanishes from view when retracted.
Portability
Weighing in at an incredible 12.2 kgs (27 pounds), the Unagi really is a 'model' of lightweight portability. It has to be one of the best travel buddys an urban commuter can easily fold up and carry anywhere in the palm of their hand.
The Unagi scooter has a super-light, super-easy folding mechanism. A fast thumb slide action, combined with a 90 degree stem angle, folds the Model One down to a carry under your arm size of 91 cm (37 in) x 40 cm 16in) x 38 cm (15 in).
Specifications (E500)

Inokim Quick 4 Super
"A mighty-looking frame atop impressive 10in wheels"
Inokim's electric scooter brand comes with the tag line, "urban freedom". It's Quick 4 Super is an electric scooter designed to rock an urban ride.
Following on from the Quick 3 Super, the vastly improved scooter upgrade aims to zip right into the "all-rounder" category for daily, urban commuting.
superior-build electric scooters
Since starting in 2009, Inokim has earned a reputation for superior-build, electric scooters. The Quick 4 Super also comes with portable, ultra-compact folding handlebars and telescopic stem. And touts a mighty-looking frame atop impressive 10in wheels.
What else can this scooter do - or not do?
Let's check it out...
Performance
Motor Power and Speed
A "commuter scooter" may not be for riders looking to get a totally maxed-out, speed fix.
But the Quick 4 Super - upgraded from the Inokim's previous Quick 3 - definitely offers a new 'super' single 600 watt motor (1100 watt, peak).
Inokim's new Quick 4 model can hit speeds of up to an impressive 40 km/h (25 mph). Which most commuters would feel comfortable with for keeping up with typical, urban travel conditions.
Acceleration
Likewise, making those getaways from a stop, also fall into a "mid-range" class of comfortable urban commute.
Typical Quick 4 stop-starts:
- 0 - 24 km/h (15 mph) - 5 secs
- 0 - 32 km/h (20 mph) - 12 secs
Hill Climbs
Commuter riders will also be pleased to hear that "when the going gets tough, the Quick 4 Super keeps going".
Having a single motor may mean this electric scooter is unlikely to be the fastest hill-climber.
However, on a typical 10 per cent gradient the Inokim Quick 4 Super took around 14 seconds, accelerating at 18 km/h (11 mph).
Components
Battery Charge and Travel Distance
Inokim have fitted a Samsung Lithium ion 52V, 16 A/h battery to the Quick 4 Super. Producing 832 Wh battery life on a single charge time of 7 hours. Ideal, for those shorter, daily work commutes or fun rides around your neighborhood.
Inokim state the maxmium range is up to 56 kms (35 miles). However, travel distances are sure to vary according to weight and riding style.
Set at top performance mode, an average 74 kg (163 lbs) rider can expect a realistic travel distance of 45 kms (28 miles).
Tires
Inokim have fitted their Quick 4 Super scooter with 5.4 cm (10 in) x 6 cm (2.5 in) "inner tube" tires, mounted on split rims.*
*Split rims - are held together by bolts or a lock-ring for quick, easy separation and tire change.
Despite of the risk of a flat, many riders prefer air-filled (pneumatic) tires for giving the most comfortable ride.
Added cushioning effect
This is because of an added cushioning effect. The simple, bold tyre-grip "footprint" is spread across more of the road surface for added traction, absorbing those bumps, cracks and creases.
The extra flexibility also adds support for those zippy side-to-side swerves, and safely taking corners.
Suspension / Shock Absorption
Pumping up the ride quality is always a big selling point. And Inokim doesn't disappoint.
Their Quick 4 Super now comes equipped with:
- Front - Spring suspension.
- Rear - Compressible elastomeric* (anti-vibration rubber mounts).
*A material capable of recovering its original shape after being greatly squeezed or stretched.
Inokim often install their electric scooters with rubber-mounted suspension.
Their smooth and efficient shock-absorbing abilities are often known to beat out the ride quality of other smaller, commuter-style scooters.
Even matching the dampening on more larger, powerful scooter brands.
Brakes
Scooters built for the urban commute need a reliable, robust braking system. For those unexpected swerves and curves, stop and starts. Even if scootering at moderate speed.
The Quick 4 Super is loaded with front and rear drum brakes which come to a dead stop in only 3.6 meters (11.1 feet).
Firm, precise control
Squeezing the two handlebar levers activates aluminum brake-actuating arms to deliver an extra firm, but precisely controlled braking.
An added low-maintenance bonus is both drums are totally sealed, preventing damage from water, stone chips or curb knocks.
Lights
Inokim have installed 3 bright LED lights to the Quick 4 Super -
- Front - 2 x low-slung, button deck-lights.
- Rear - red tail-light.
Automatic light sensor
A light sensor on the handlebar LED display will automatically switch on the lighting after dark, or can be preset according to surrounding levels of brightness.
As with some other electric scooters, it may be a good idea to install an extra headlight - mounted high up on the stem - for improving visibility on night time rides.
Handlebar control
Firstly - as with their previous scooters, the subtly curved handlebars are made from the same cast aluminum as the stem.
Secondly - Inokim offer an awesome cockpit of classic navigational tools on its advanced built-in LED display, including, speed, travel distance and battery life.
Thirdly - the designers may have created ergonomic perfection. Tactile refinements include,
- Textured hand grips.
- Rubber-wrapped brake levers.
- Sleek, button controls for power, lights and pre-sets.
Perfectly shaped grips
The handlebar grips are perfectly shaped for a reassuring, non-slip "fit and grip" to the palm of your hand. A precisely-shaped area of rubber is also embedded into the throttle, and unlike other scooters, the Quick 4’s throttle is naturally-positioned.
A cool, finishing touch of red-colour contrast is added to the aluminum releases for folding the handlebars, themselves.
Build quality
The Quick 4 Super looks like it was built for no-nonsense, urban travel. A reassuring, robust mix of must-have scooter features given a cool makeover.
Inokim use CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) technology in the manufacture of their electric scooters.
Precision-cut
Each of the components, such as the the stem and base of the Quick4 Super, are precision-cut from a single piece of aluminum. Rather than welded and creating potential, stress fracture points.
Water-resistance
The Quick 4 Super is IPX4-rated water-resistant. This means it will not be damaged by light rain, but heavy downpours and large puddles should be avoided.
Frame
Sporting silver and black industrial chic, the Quick 4 features a premium frameful of new and sturdy, ergonomic design.
From an uber-slender stem to the super-sleek, rear fender. The Quick 4 glints with subtle, red accents. Highlighting swanky new swingarms, stem lever and rubber mounts.
Deck
The Quick 4 Super has a small deck, it has to be said.
Measuring 39.4 cm (15.5 in) long by 21.6 cm (8.5 in) wide with 11 cm (4.3 in) of ground clearance. Some larger riders will find they have limited space to stand comfortably between the stem base and carry handle.
The deck surface does have strips of super powerful grip tape running its entire length. To help with firming up standing posture and overall ride quality.
Portability
The Quick 4 Super is fast-folding, secure-locking and easy-carrying.
The folding mechanism - taking only seconds to reduce to 110cms (43.3 in) x 55cms (21.6in) x 25 cms (9.8in) - is designed with portability clearly in mind for the daily urban commuter:
