However, it’s the option to have a replacement battery that solidifies the X7 Max's role in long-distance scooting. And given the long 6-hour charge time, the extra battery is a nice feature to have.

For $220, you can acquire and carry the 6 lbs spare as cargo, switching batteries once you’re low on juice. Besides range, the removable battery also means you can disconnect it and charge the battery on its own, offering convenience and an extra level of security. And since it is secured by a keylock, you don’t have to worry about thieves making off with it.

The Unagi Model One Voyager also comes equipped with a 360 Wh battery that delivers a range of between 12- 25 miles on a single charge. The battery has energy-dense cells, which are great for battery life. And you don’t have to worry about downtime since the battery has a fast charging system: 1 hour to 50% and 3 hours to full.

Hill Climbing

In the commuter class, the Unagi Model One Voyager reigns supreme as the best hill climber. The dual motors give the scooter its remarkable hill-climbing power.

Alternatively, the stem-embedded battery on the Turboant means the X7 Max is front-heavy, making hill climbing even more challenging. The Turboant X7 is a good choice for city riding and if your track generally runs across flat roads.

Ride Quality

The ride quality on the two feels comparable, although the Turboant X7 Max does hold a slight edge over the Voyager on this front.

Tires

The Turboant X7 Max electric scooter comes with stock 10-inch tubed air tires. Air tires deliver a more comfortable ride than their solid counterparts.
